Failure through Fear is something that none of us ever look for, but is a part of the human condition.
People fail many times because they are fearful. They lack the to courage to continue on or step up to the plate. They fail because they allow fear to take them captive, instead of realizing that failure really isn't failure if you strive to do better the next time.
Fear of failure is an internal mindset where you’ve chosen to believe that a new idea or challenge will fail even before you’ve attempted to do it. Because of this, you set up a wall in your mind that you can no longer climb over because of your limiting beliefs.
“Failure should be our teacher, not our undertaker. Failure is delay, not defeat. It is a temporary detour, not a dead end. Failure is something we can avoid only by saying nothing, doing nothing, and being nothing.”–Denis Waitley
When you give in to fear you are already defeated.
“Many a man has finally succeeded only because he has failed after repeated efforts. If he had never met defeat he would never have known any great victory.”–Orison Swett Marden
Learn to turn every failure into learning experiences. This is extremely powerful when you consider the cost of learning anything of value. When you feel fear, be determined to walk through it, not get captured by it.
You will always learn from failures. When you see them clearly as a test, examine the results, and study them closely for the reason why they went wrong.
Consider a child when they are learning to ride a bicycle, there are plenty of falls along the way, and at some point all the falling stops. Realize also that even skilled adults fall off bicycles, sometimes.
“Stand up and face your fears, or they will defeat you.” — LL Cool J
Henry Ford as well as the Wright Brothers had failures, but nobody seems to remember that. Just like them, you are not a failure, do not allow fear to tell you anything different.
In any endeavor, do the research first, assemble a team, make a full commitment to succeed, and never mentally fail through fear before you start.
“Far better is it to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure… than to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy nor suffer much, because they live in a gray twilight that knows not victory nor defeat.” –Theodore Roosevelt
“It may not be your fault for being down, but it is your fault for not getting up.” –Steve Davis
Learn to allow Failure through Fear to become a positive asset by allowing it to point you to Success. Use it to push forward!
“The person interested in success has to learn to view failure as a healthy, inevitable part of the process of getting to the top.” Joyce Brothers
