The end result is often a loss of sight, particularly in the central region, and a gradual separation of the retina from other parts of the eye.
Indeed, a childhood cancer that grows from immature cells lurking in the retinas of both eyes can appear between birth and five years of age.
The physicians will give you a screening for retinoblastoma, Coats’ disease, and a bunch of other possible problems.

Your Attitude Always Determines Your Altitude

Having a Positive Attitude makes it possible for you to excel to a higher Altitude.

“Your attitude, not your aptitude, will determine your altitude.” –Zig Ziglar
It is important to know that your attitude will always determine your altitude, whether it is in business or in life.  Also realize that it is impossible to change someone else’s attitude for them.    Our attitudes come from making choice decisions.
Your Attitude Determines Your Altitude
“Our life is what our thoughts make it”. –Marcus Aurelius
“Attitude is a little thing that makes a big difference.” –Winston Churchill
“Yes, if we think happy thoughts, we will be happy.   If we think miserable thoughts, we will be miserable. If we think fear thoughts, we will be fearful. If we think sickly thoughts we probably will be ill. If we think failure, we will certainly fail. If we wallow in self-pity, everyone will want to shun us and avoid us”. –Dale Carnegie
Reality can be changed dramatically by a single thought.  Our mental attitude, which is the power which we hold in our heads can be set to Positive or Negative.

A Positive Mental Attitude in Leadership:

When it comes to  leadership, it’s more likely  that you are what you think.  It’s important to realize that  outside influences don’t usually determine your happiness or success.  It’s how we react to those influences – good or bad which determine our happiness or success.   We have the ability to change how we react to any outside forces?
Make sure that how you react to any situation is a conscious priority; which means practice daily.
1.  Humor is vital.
When things don’t seem to be going your way, learn to keep everything in perspective and relax. Laugh out loud or just throw up your hands with a smile on your face.
2.  Having positive self-confident feelings will  help you achieve more.
People are drawn to others who have an upbeat outlook, who have a can-do attitude. They will also make others want to be associated with you.  Why?  Because people are drawn to others who have an upbeat outlook and possess a can-do attitude.
Constant complainers will Never collect an easy following.

Why Cultivating The Atmosphere Of Faith Is Vital For Modern Churches

Cultivating The Atmosphere Of Faith Is Vital For Modern Churches because It Is In The Atmosphere of Faith Where Miracles takes Place.

"Without Faith It Is Impossible To Please God." --  Hebrews 11:6

A lot of people who are exposed to modern Christianity for the first time (or who are coming back to the church after a long absence) find the all-embracing attitude of progressive churches a little unsettling. What they have to understand, though, is that the atmosphere of faith is crucial to developing and maintaining a strong relationship with Christ in these very secular times.

What exactly is meant by the term "the atmosphere of faith?" In many churches, promoting this atmosphere involves providing members with much more than just weekly services. Church-sponsored community activities make it easier for Christians to socialize in a positive, Christ-friendly environment. A lot of modern churches also feel that they can perform a useful service by offering (and even promoting) Christian-oriented media, including books, films, and music. This is all part of a concerted effort to strengthen the body of the church and make it easier for members to resist temptation.

To those looking into the world of the church from the outside, these strange and time-intensive activities used to promote the atmosphere of faith can seem bizarre or even creepy. However, there are countless faithful Christians who can testify to their effectiveness. Instead of a Sunday destination that's easily forgotten during the balance of the week, a forward-thinking church can become the hub of its parishioners' lives. This makes parishioners both better Christians and better people, and that makes for a stronger, more vibrant church as a whole.

For pastors and other church workers, cultivating the atmosphere of faith is not always easy. It calls for more effort than simply scheduling and performing Sunday services.  It requires time spent in the Word of God, meditation, Prayer and openness to the Spirit of God, as well as the heart of a Servant. Given the astounding results many churches have achieved by reaching out to their congregations, though, it's a step more and more churches are willing to take.

Dreams Goals And Visions - Defining & Directing Your Personal Growth

Dreams Goals And Visions are extremely important because you can only go as far as you can imagine yourself going.

Your imagination knows no boundaries.

Having clearly defined dreams goals and visions is an essential part of personal growth and development. It has been proven that the most successful individuals are not only those who dare to dream, but those who set clearly defined goals for themselves, and envision themselves where they want to be.

In other words, they have a future perspective.

Retaining the ability to dream big and reach far is not as common as it should be. During childhood being 'realistic' is deeply engrained and children are discouraged from pursuing goals that seem unattainable. This can result in overly pragmatic adults, who find it impossible to think beyond, or even imagine, beyond their present circumstance: they have no dreams goals and visions, they simply exist.

But, breaking out of that mold and gaining a fire for life is possible if you want it! The first step is to say no to negativity! Don't cut yourself down, or laugh when you say 'I want a Ferrari".

Dare to dream, and dare to dream big! Believe that you deserve to be in a better place, be it financially, or in your personal life, and make a list of your dreams goals and visions. Do you want to meet and marry the woman of your dreams, are you sick of living in a one bedroom in a crappy part of town, do you want to get out of your 9-5 and have time for your kids?

Go for it!

Once you have listed your goals, prioritize them, and start working down the list a few at a time. Set deadlines and work out a plan to try and get where you want to be. Believing that anything is possible is the first step to changing your life, and taking charge of your personal growth.

How To Have An Effective Conversation

Having an effective conversation will most often begin with you asking simple questions.

How To Have An Effective Conversation

Always ask questions to begin an effective  conversation, such as:
1.  Where are you from?
2.  What do you think of he weather we’re having?
3.  What business are you presently in?
4.  What time is it?

“A conversation is a dialogue, not a monologue. That’s why there are so few good conversations: due to scarcity, two intelligent talkers seldom meet.” –Truman Capote

“A single conversation across the table with a wise man is better than ten years mere study of books.” –Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

Use simple, easy to remember questions in order to begin effective communication.

It is well known that “People like to talk about themselves.”  Make sure that you keep the conversation steered to the other person’s interest.  Learn their:  Why?  What?  When? Where? and How?

The Power of Agreement:

Share anything about yourself or your past experience which shows that you are like minded.  This will help the other person to like you automatically.  Me-too – I agree with you!

Become an Excellent Listener:

Once you get the other person talking long enough, they simply cannot disguise their real feelings or motives.

The Power in becoming a great listener is that it allows you to overcome any self-consciousness or self-centeredness.

Listening to people will also empower you to be more able to feel them out.  Understanding comes from listening.  You will never really understand another person unless you are completely willing to listen carefully, sympathetically and patiently.

In order to deal with people more effectively through conversation, you will have to know what people truly want, what they need and who they really are.

How to Have An Effective Conversation

More steps in having an effective conversation will require you to:

a.  Always look directly at the person who is talking.
b.  Always appear deeply interested in what they are saying.
c.  Lean towards the person talking.
d.  Ask simply questions in order to get clarity of purpose.
e.  Never, no never, interrupt; instead ask them to tell you more.
f.  Always stick to the speakers subject.
g.  Be sure to use the speaker’s words in order to get your own point across.  (Once the speaker has finished speaking – repeat their words back to them to insure them that you were listening fully.  This will not only prove you’ve been listening, but is a good way to introduce your own ideas without opposition.)  Preface some of your own remarks with;  ”As you pointed out – or – It’s just like you said.

Be sure also to use a soft appeal!  Never attack another person’s ego.  When and if you are asked a question, always pause before answering.  Always respond moderately and accurately.  Never be forceful!  Calm brings more calm while force brings with it more force.

Remember it always flatters the speaker when you ask for their advice and then listen to their idea’s.

“The reason why so few people are agreeable in conversation is that each is thinking more about what he intends to say than others are saying.” –Francois de La Rochefoucauld

Learning to have an Effective Conversation will take practice, but will always be rewarding in the end.  It begins with asking questions and then becoming an Effective Listener!

What is the Purpose of Self Motivation?

The purpose of self motivation is to help a person to assess his or her strengths, as well as, weaknesses in setting and achieving important goals in life.

The Purpose of Self Motivation
One will need to do a thorough self assessment, in order to come up with a clear picture on where they stand with regards to achieving life goals. Knowing his or her strengths is very important for the person to continue to achieve goals and even improve the strengths further. Having a good knowledge about the weaknesses are also important to improve these weaknesses and become successful in those areas in the future.
Motivation is what keeps people living their lives to the fullest in this world. Without motivation, people will find their lives boring and they would not achieve anything worthwhile. There tends to be many people who are dependent on other people to inspire and motivate them to achieve anything worthwhile in life.  Due to this, it is a very good probability that they will not achieve any goal in life without the help of another person. In this type of scenario is where the purpose of self motivation would really come in handy.

A person who needs to improve on self motivation should start by first setting his or her mind on it. In order to achieve anything in life the first requirement is the appropriate mindset. Make up your mind to be self motivated and do not give up until you achieve it.  You will need pure purpose and clarity.

The mindset is also important in handling any negative thoughts and feelings that are sure to surface once you have decided to pursue self motivation.

Improving on self motivation should be approached by targeting simple goals at first. If you start with a large goal, you may get discouraged when you cannot achieve the goal and give up on it completely. Be sure to set goals which are simple and can be achieved with little effort at first.  Enlarge these steps with the achievement of each goal.

Little by little you can learn to achieve difficult goals and finally set targets to achieve the most important goals in life such as perfect health, financial freedom, perfect relationship etc.

The Purpose of Self Motivation
As discussed above the purpose of self motivation is to help you live life to its fullest potential in the here and now.  As Les Brown says, “We have to get out of our head and comfort zones.”

“People often say that motivation doesn’t last.  Well, neither does bathing – that’s why we recommend it daily.” —  Zig Ziglar

“Motivation is what gets you started.  Habit is what keeps you going.”  -  Jim Ryun
