Where, Oh Where Have You Been? The Faith Walk!

I've been “Walking Daily By Faith.”

Daughter was in a 3 car collision and I had to leave.

Where, oh where have you been?

We are to walk by faith daily, first because we are believers and second because through every trial or circumstance we know that God is, He lives and He is awesome and so very, very real.

Using our faith during times of trial is essential to its growth process, for you see we know not what will happen in the next second, let alone the next week.

We are told to watch and pray, and for a very good reason.  When the prayers go up, the blessings come down.  Keep your children covered in prayer at “all times.”  Trust and Believe.

The Accident:

On September 14, 2013 at approximately 2:30 a.m. my oldest daughter and her friends, as well as two teenagers will traveling home to Vegas from LA.  You see they felt it would be less traffic at that hour.  Unbeknownst to them though they would cross a line that they were unprepared for.

Shortly after entering the freeway they noticed a  cloud of smoke, so they thought.  But in actuality it was sand from a vehicle hitting one of the barrels on the side of the freeway. You see the driver dosed off for a second and that was all it took.  He hit the barrels and went into a spin.  While spinning he hit the vehicle my daughter and friends were travelling in.  They too, are now in a spin and were hit by another vehicle.  From the impact of the second vehicle they flew over the center divider into oncoming traffic and were hit yet a third time.  This time they rolled over and over and over again.  When their vehicle finally stopped they were upside down on the freeway.

Two of the drivers in the three vehicles had to be cut out by the jaws of life.  My daughter’s forehead was split open, down the center and across the right side.  With blood pouring out profusely she still managed to get one of the teenagers out of the car, the other had to be cut out as well.

When I received the call that my daughter was in an accident and bleeding from the brain. Panic wants to arise on the inside of me but I don’t have time for that.  I have to get on an airplane in order to get to my child.  However, to be honest, I couldn't think.  Even something as simple as unzipping a bag I couldn't do.

On the plane I prayed for peace inside of me, I had to calm down on the inside.  I trusted God to keep my child safe (who is a grown woman by the way).

We walk by faith, not be sight. – 2 Corinthians 5:7

Our faith is rooted in who we know.  It comes alive when in a tense circumstance where we know that this situation or circumstance if out of our control.  As a result of being in these types of situations is where we are enabled to allow the creative process  to make better choices, create a better life or better methods.  From near death experiences comes new Life.

Where, oh where have you been

From an ugly situation, beauty can arise.  Rise up, dust yourself off and start all over again on a new and better path with a loving Savior who will never, no never leave you nor forsake you.  Even when it looks like He isn't there.  Know that He is.

Do not be ruled by your emotions.  Emotions lie and they will take control if you allow it. You see, while on the plane I felt I needed a brown bag to breathe into because my heart was beating faster than it should.  I kept praying softly for the Lord to bring me peace.

He is a God who answers prayers, while exiting the first plane he sent a woman across my path with a big smile and we spoke, she asked me if I lived there (Colorado) and I told her no, I was on my way to see about my daughter who was in the hospital because of a major accident.  She immediately asked her name and told me she would be praying.

On the second plane, God send a Pastor to sit next to me.  He too assured me that he would be praying.  Did this quiet me down, oh Yes, because I knew that not only was my God taking care of my daughter, He was with me as well.

“Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”  Hebrews 11:11  (It is having a deep or inner assurance or conviction that what you are hoping for, which is based upon the Word of God, will indeed come to pass even if you see no external evidence for it.)

My daughter is up walking around, strong and well.  She will have to still have cosmetic surgery.  The driver of her vehicle had her ankle and leg broken, along with two surgeries. The children are well and home.  Unfortunately, the original driver who dosed off into the barrels passed today in his second surgery.  Please pray for that family.

I've been away, but I’m back.  Giving all the praise and glory to God!
